Today I want to challenge you to actively listen to everyone that directs theit attention towards you, to speak to you and share something that’s been on their heart or mind…

These days we seem to be dismissive, and we can quickly we can be quick to say “hold on”… “Wait a minute”…’ just a second”.

I hold on hold on, as that person…especially in our families… away and forgets all about you. Feeling of being dismissed, is sometimes unbearable, especially if it’s someone you love.

Are you dismissive? if you are, please, just today… try it “actively”listen, going out of our way to actively listen to that person, that you normally try to avoid, because they “bore you to death”, and it’s usually because you’ve never heard more than two words out of their mouth, because they don’t have the right Voice or the right projection… Different reasons we dismissed people.

That just missed you, needed you, today. Just wanted to share part of themselves, something we should never take for granted…they felt you were important enough to them, to give up time for you to hear what’s on their hearts.

It’s time to listen, today.

We care enough about you, to even speak to you in the first place… but they, we, have something to say.

I love the part in Desiderata,

….” listen to even the dull and ignorant. They too have their story”.

Actively listen… even to the “boring”, the “mundane”, at least long enough to find out what they’re trying to tell you. It could just change your life.

As writers, you know just one or two words can make a major change in a life.

listen…love… listen…love.. then, love and listen again.

Make it a weekly goal..

You can take one day a week, can’t you?

I said…” Can’t you?”

Thanks for, listening.. .
